Steam and Condensate

The above video is also steam and condensate, with 2 high pressure lines and 2 low pressure lines.

This installation was Barkers Laundry, Bournemouth in which they wanted a full upscale of steam supply to allow for higher wash and dry capacity. The works took us 8 weeks to complete and included a new boiler, water tank, condensate tank, blow down vessel, 4 x dryers, 5 x washers and 6 x presses. Including all the steam and condensate we also installed a brand new BCW line, air line and drainage from the washers.

This Installation was at DS Smith, Devizes in which they wanted a complete replacement of their current main steam and condensate lines (high pressure) and also a brand new low pressure steam and condensate line to allow for new technology provided by Baveira Ltd. The pre-fabrication of these works started in January 2023 and the installation was finished by the middle of April 2023.

All works were signed off by an expansion specialist; Minikin and Sons Ltd in which they quoted 'The entire installation, which was inspected by Minikins, was up to standard and of high quality'.

10% of welds were subject to ultrasonic inspection by Capital NDT in which they all passed.

This installation was at NWSSP's central laundry, Llansamlet. Their old steam and condensate pipework had become unsafe due to its condition. Therefore we installed a brand new steam and condensate system in stainless steel. This was a 6" steam and a 3" condensate main with smaller submains to supply the ironers and stand alone dryers. We also did the full rip out of the old system.

Process

This Job was in Warburton's Tuscany Park where we was replacing the old Tubular Heat exchangers for new plate heat exchangers on both Yeast RM1 and 2. We also replaced the old chiller for 2 x new chillers to allow for contingency and servicing in the future. Both the yeast and glycol were 2" hygienic and the project took 6 weeks including all 3 break ins.

On the same site, we also installed a brand new chiller for the bulk glycol system and altered the current system so that each chiller had their own independent line to the tank. This ,like the other project, allowed for contingency as in the height of summer, 1 chiller was still on stand by. These pipework runs were 240m of 3" hygienic and the project took 8 weeks including both break ins.

In Fine Lady Bakeries we installed 2 x new yeast ring mains for an expansion to the factory. Both were to feed mixers for new bread lines.

These lines were 200m of  2" Hygienic and the project took 3 weeks including the break in. Pictures are not available as they were inside the factory.

In Bristol Beer Factory's new brewery we installed all of the steam and condensate from the boilerhouse to various pieces of plant such as the brewhouse, CIP skid, keg washer, flash pasteurizer and more. We also installed the glycol from the new chillers to a designated point left off by pre-fabricated plant.

The steam and condensate was SCH40 stainless, the steam being 4" and the condensate being 1.5". The glycol was 3" hygienic. This projects took 10 weeks.

In Schutz 's drum plant within their main facility, we installed 2 x Flow and return CHW pipework from their main header to various machines which made up their brand new drum making plant. These pipework runs were 240m of 3" trubore w/ blue zinc coated backing flanges. This project took 6 weeks including the break in.

In Warburtons Burnley, we have just started with our client BRS for the installation of a brand new crumpet line. This will involve all new services such as Glycol, Yeast, Caustic, CIP, Olive oil, Brine and more. It will include the pre-fabrication of some skids, platforms and tanks too.

We predict this to be worth over £250,000
